Microblading at Evertrue in Chicago is a highly detailed, manual technique used to create the appearance of fuller, more balanced brows. Using fine, hair-like strokes, we build shape and structure in a way that blends seamlessly with your existing brow hair.
Clients come to Evertrue for a specific aesthetic. Our work leans natural, soft, and restrained. We avoid heavy-handed results and focus instead on brows that age well and remain believable over time.
Our Chicago studio is designed for one-on-one, appointment-based services. There’s no rush through the process. Each treatment is given the time it needs, especially during the design phase, where the outcome is largely determined.

We have experience across a range of cosmetic tattoo services. Working in areas like Nanobrows, eyeliner tattoo, lip blushing and other advanced techniques builds a deeper understanding of pigment behavior, skin response, and how small decisions affect long-term results. That experience carries directly into our microblading work.
We’re also often sought out for cases that require a more careful approach, e.g. clients with minimal natural brow hair, uneven growth, or previous work that needs to be adjusted rather than fully redone. These situations require a lighter hand and more judgment, not more strokes.

Microblading is often a good fit for clients who feel their brows have thinned over time, become uneven, or lost definition from years of over-tweezing. It can also be helpful for those who are tired of filling in their brows daily and want something more consistent but still subtle.
That said, not everyone is an ideal candidate. Skin type, lifestyle, and expectations all play a role in how well microblading will hold and how it will look over time. If you’re unsure, we can guide you before you book.

Each session begins with a personalized brow design and shape consultation. We draw your ideal brow outline before beginning the microblading strokes—delicate, hair-like marks that mimic your natural growth pattern.
Step-by-Step Overview:
Our artists use the most advanced pigments and techniques for durable, fade-resistant results that remain soft and dimensional—not flat or harsh.
Healing is part of the process and often misunderstood. Brows will appear darker and more defined in the first few days, then soften as the skin heals. Light flaking is normal. Over the next few weeks, the color settles into a more natural tone, and the strokes become less pronounced.
For clients who want the most subtle result possible, we offer what we refer to as Soft Style Microblading.
This approach uses fewer strokes (about 15 per brow, or half of regular microblading) and lighter density to create a more diffused, understated look. Instead of fully reconstructing the brow, Soft Style focuses on gently filling in areas where hair is sparse or inconsistent. The result is closer to a soft shadow of your natural brow rather than a fully built-out shape.
It’s often a good option for first-time clients who are hesitant to commit to a more structured result, or for those who already have a decent amount of brow hair and simply want quiet refinement. It can also be a way to maintain brows over time without adding additional heaviness.
Microblading can be a particularly effective option for men who want to restore brow density without it looking like they’ve had anything done.
In many cases, we don’t aim to reshape the brow, but to fill in gaps, strengthen the outline slightly, or bring back areas that have thinned over time. The work is intentionally conservative. Strokes are placed to follow existing hair patterns, with no added sharpness or over-definition.
This can be especially useful for men with patchy growth, scars in the brow area, or asymmetry that becomes more noticeable over time. It’s also a practical option for those who prefer not to rely on daily grooming or filling.
Microblading tends to work best on normal to dry skin. Oily or textured skin can cause strokes to blur or heal less crisply, which may affect the overall result. Lifestyle also matters. Frequent sun exposure, active skincare routines, and certain treatments can all influence how long pigment lasts.
It’s important to approach microblading with realistic expectations. Perfect symmetry is not the goal, and in most cases, not achievable. What we aim for instead is balance—something that looks natural at rest and in motion.

Each artist is licensed, insured, and trained in advanced color theory and healed-result techniques to ensure every investment enhances your look for 6 to 18 months.
Most appointments take about two hours, including consultation and design. It’s not a quick service, and it shouldn’t be.

Yes. All pigments used in our microblading treatments are 100% vegan and cruelty-free. They contain no animal-derived ingredients and are not tested on animals.
Our pigments are composed of high-quality iron oxides, distilled water, glycerin, and non-toxic colorants. They’re formulated for long-lasting results and optimal safety.
Yes. We use hypoallergenic pigments that are safe for most skin types.
No. Our pigments are free from harmful metals like lead and mercury. They meet strict cosmetic safety regulations in the U.S. and internationally.
Of course. We’re happy to provide full pigment ingredient lists upon request. Transparency is important to us.
Should be done AFTER Eyebrow Microblading. You can do anti-wrinkle injections immediately after your Microblading session. Your doctor will be able to determine where to place anti-wrinkle injections injections without altering your brow position. Should you decide to cease anti-wrinkle injections treatments, brows will settle at original balanced position. If you had anti-wrinkle injections done, please wait at least two weeks before doing Microblading to allow your anti-wrinkle injections to settle.
Please wait two weeks if you have had these or other similar cosmetic treatments done: PRF, Hydrofacials, Chemical Peels, Microneedling, Forma (on face), Sculptra, Villiers.
Some of our pigments contain iron oxide. These are in very minuscule quantities that should not interfere with MRIs. Please consult your doctor should you require more information.
We do not recommend doing any cosmetic tattooing if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Should you still desire to continue with treatment, please consult your doctor prior to the appointment. We will also require an additional liability waiver.
We do not perform any treatments on anyone under the age of 18.
