What is Eyeliner Tattoo?

An eyeliner tattoo is a semi-permanent cosmetic tattoo that enhances your eye shape using pigment along the lash line. It creates a flawless, natural eyeliner look that lasts for years. Perfect for those who want to wake up with makeup and simplify their daily routine.

Pre-Appointment Instructions

Please remove any lash extensions before treatment.

Avoid lash tinting at least two weeks before treatment.

If you had eye surgery, please wait at least three months before doing the Eyeliner treatment, to ensure you eye is completely healed. We also suggest waiting three months after Eyeliner treatment before having any eye surgery.

The Process

During the consultation, we will first draw on the eyeliner by hand to get the shape, thickness, and length that you desire. A topical numbing cream will be applied, which will take approximately 20 minutes to take effect. The specialist will use a medical-grade device to create the eyeliner (all items that touch the skin are single use and are discarded after the treatment). The entire treatment will last about two hours.
Eyeliner Tattoo results will last for 3-5 years, depending on individual circumstances (e.g. skin type, thickness and depth of color chosen, and lifestyle), and fade gradually and naturally. Please note however that there may be vestigial pigment that may resist complete fading. Many clients opt to return for periodic touch-ups to refresh shape and color.

The Perfecting Session

Please return within 6-8 weeks of the initial Eyeliner Tattoo treatment for the complimentary Perfecting Session. Eyeliner Tattooing is a two-step process and the Perfecting Session is necessary to set the shape and color. The Perfecting Session will build on the color that is already absorbed by the skin. The same process as the initial treatment will be followed.

Post-Care Instructions

General post-treatment care for all treatments:
— Do not expose the treated area to water for 24 hours
— Apply a thin layer of Healing Cream with clean fingertips only if the area is itchy or dry.
— Avoid sun exposure, saunas, excessive sweating, tanning, and makeup on the treated area for one week
— Avoid swimming, facials, chemical peels, and laser treatments for two weeks
— Avoid intensive facial products, prolonged sun exposure, and laser treatments to prolong results. Do not wear contact lenses for 48 hours post-treatment. Avoid lash growth products and lash extensions for two weeks.

Preparing for Your Eyeliner Tattoo Appointment

Before your Eyeliner Tattoo appointment at Evertrue Salon, remove any lash extensions and avoid lash tinting for at least two weeks. If you’ve had recent eye surgery, wait at least three months before scheduling your appointment.

Post-Treatment Care for Eyeliner Tattoo

  • Avoid water, makeup, and sun exposure on the treated area for 24 hours.
  • Apply a thin layer of healing cream if the area feels itchy or dry.
  • Do not wear contact lenses for 48 hours post-treatment.
  • Refrain from using lash growth products or extensions for two weeks.

How long do Eyeliner Tattoo results last?

Results typically last 3-5 years, depending on your skin type, lifestyle, and aftercare.

We use medical-grade numbing cream, and most clients report minimal discomfort. Your eyes will be closed throughout the treatment.

The complimentary Perfecting Session refines shape and color, within 6-8 weeks of your initial session.

Yes, eyeliner thickness can be customized. We can also add length and wings.

All our pigments are cosmetic grade, meaning they are sterilized and purified for cosmetic use. Our specialists are highly trained and experienced professionals.

Yes. Even for correction and color-neutralization work, we use only vegan, cruelty-free pigments that meet our safety and ethical standards.

We can neutralize old or discolored pigments (blue, red, gray, or green), reshape uneven brows, or restore faded brows using expert color theory and precision techniques.

Some neutralizing pigments may contain a small amount of titanium dioxide for lightening or opacity, but we always choose the safest, most stable formulas available.

Yes — with proper technique. We assess the existing pigment’s saturation, depth, and undertone to safely layer new pigment or recommend lightening first if needed.

Yes. We specialize in corrective brow work and will evaluate your brows during your consultation to develop a personalized plan — no judgment, just expert care.

Other Considerations

Other Cosmetic Treatments

Please wait two weeks if you have had these or other similar cosmetic treatments done: PRF, Hydrofacials, Chemical Peels, Microneedling, Forma (on face), Sculptra, Villiers.

Some of our pigments contain iron oxide. These are in very minuscule quantities that should not interfere with MRIs. Please consult your doctor should you require more information.

We do not recommend doing any cosmetic tattooing if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Should you still desire to continue with treatment, please consult your doctor prior to the appointment. We will also require an additional liability waiver.

We do not perform any treatments on anyone under the age of 18.
